Brett The Home Inspector is an Arizona-based company owned and operated by Brett Kniffen. Brett grew up working in homes and in the construction industry, learning about plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and fleet maintenance from an early age. After being introduced to the home inspection process by his father, an inspector, Brett was approached by several real estate agents who believed that he would be a great fit for today’s home inspection industry. Now, he uses his extensive knowledge of construction, his passion for the latest technology, and his patience and customer service skills to offer great home inspection services in Oro Valley, Tucson, Saddlebrooke, Marana, Vail, and Green Valley.

Brett loves all things technology and worked for 21 years building computer networks. He was responsible for designing cable plants and wireless networks for buildings – a job that required someone extremely detail-oriented and patient. He was often required to inspect these buildings to assess their ductwork, building makeup, and wall materials. Although he didn’t realize it at the time, completing thorough inspections has been a part of Brett’s career for most of his life.

Along with inspecting buildings for computer networks, Brett has additional inspection experience from his time serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was an F16 Crew Chief for 4 years and was often tasked with inspecting and maintaining the aircraft. He is hard-working and an ideal inspector for high-stress situations. Brett is proud to be running a veteran-owned inspection business and believes that paying attention to detail, staying calm in any environment, and doing everything possible to make the people around him comfortable is a significant part of what makes him such a great inspector today.
